My mother is an incredible cook and she undoubtedly throws the best dinner parties. I have been spoiled with the greatest food my whole life! Many years ago, I decided to document Mum making all of her recipes, and create a short recipe book. But, living on the other side of the world has made this a slow project. I still hope to photograph her whenever I'm back home, but until then - I have started my food photography journey to capture my own efforts to recreate Mama Issadeen's most loved recipes!
